Wind River Event

This event started in 1992 and is held on the Boysen Reservoir which winds its way down the steep canyon walls of the scenic Wind River. This event has drawn participants and volunteers from the tri-city area of Lander, Riverton, and Thermopolis. This event has outreached hundreds of individuals in this area with great involvement of the towns and their dedicated volunteers. Chair Karen Beddoes, continues to reach as many anglers with disabilities as possible.

Unfortunately, several years of drought have caused disappointment of cancelled angling events for the Lander Chapter participants and volunteers. 2007 is not hopeful for a day of fishing on the Boysen Reservoir, however a FHNB angling clinic about rod handling, types of fish, and adaptive equipment will be offered in place of an actual fishing day on the lake.
