Fishing Has No Boundaries - Press Release Osprey

"The Friends of Oscar Scherer Park, Inc. hosted Florida's first ever Fishing Has No Boundaries, Inc. (FHNB) clinic at Oscar Scherer State Park March of 2006. The non-competitive event is designed to assist individuals with disabilities to fish again -- or for even the first time. Fishing equipment and a photographer was provided by the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission. Boating Life magazine editor joined FHNB and other volunteers to help out with the event. As a person with a disability myself, this is something I've wanted to organize for a long time, said Oscar Scherer Park Manager " John Roche Graphic of school of bluegills.

This chapter started in 2006 and is held at the Oscar Scherer State Park, in Osprey. The first event was a positive turnout with great weather and fun all around. (Please see side bar)

April's event is underway for Osprey area's anglers with disabilities and volunteers, you are welcome to attend.
